“When they’re good in math, they’re confident in other areas,” said Smita Medhi. mother of two students at Mathnasium of Spokane South, in Washington state.

We couldn’t have said it better. Medhi was one of several parents quoted in this fantastic article in The Spokesman-Review featuring the recently-opened Mathnasium Learning Center. Jerry Post, a former KXLY-TV news director, chose to run the center because he wanted a career where he could change kids’ lives. Six months in, he said, “It's the most meaningful thing I could have done.”

If you’ve never been to one of our learning centers or want a quick snapshot of what Mathnasium is really all about, we encourage you to read the full article.

Before I came to Mathnasium, I could sum up everything I felt about math in one word: 'EVIL!' I hated math. ... Mathnasium has been my safe haven. They truly have shown me the light when it came to addressing my fear and provided me with the tools that I need to rebuild my prior knowledge so that I won't forget it. Math is no longer a subject I shy away from but it is a subject I can boldly accept and understand.
